Visited: 25 Apr 2026"During the inspection, the road widening and strengthening work was found to be negligible. Tree restoration/felling work was found to be in progress at Km 1, 2, and 3 of the road. Instructions were given to refrain from replanting trees on the road pavement. Pots were found at Km 4, 6, 7, and 8 of the road, and at the Raghaighat Bridge. Further instructions were given to make the road motorable. The junior engineer stated that the contractor was not carrying out earthwork. The Executive Engineer had been periodically informed regarding the progress of the work. No other work was in progress. Deep displeasure was expressed over the slow progress of the work. Instructions were given to coordinate with the contractor and increase resources to ensure the expected progress. It was directed that further action be taken against the contractor if the work did not meet the expected progress (revised work program)"
