BiharInfraTales is built and maintained by an IIMCian — an independent, open-data platform for tracking Bihar's government tenders, infrastructure projects, and public spending in one place.
Why this exists
Bihar's government publishes an enormous amount of infrastructure, procurement, and spending data — but it's scattered across dozens of separate portals, each with its own format and update cycle. BiharInfraTales pulls that data into one place, structured and searchable, so journalists, researchers, contractors, and residents can actually find what's happening in their district without hunting across a dozen government websites.
What it does
The platform tracks live tenders, infrastructure project progress, cabinet decisions, environmental clearances, MP/MLA fund utilization, and more — all sourced directly from official government portals (see our Methodology page for the full source list) and refreshed on an automated schedule.
