RCD Floats ₹385 Crore Tender for Widening & Strengthening of Begusarai Bypass Road

Road Construction Department has floated a major infrastructure tender for the widening and strengthening of the Begusarai Bypass Road under the Begusarai Road Division.

The project involves widening and strengthening the bypass road from BTPS Chakiya (NH-31) to Lakhmiya Baliya (Gupta Lakhmiya Bandh), covering a total length of 38.21 km.

As per the tender details, the estimated project cost is ₹385.12 crore, while the earnest money deposit (EMD) is ₹3.95 crore. The BOQ cost is ₹0.10 lakh (₹10,000), payable online on a non-refundable basis.

The last date for bid submission is 12 January 2026 up to 3:00 PM, and the technical bids will be opened after 3:30 PM on the same day.

The project is slated for completion within 18 months, including the monsoon period. Once completed, the upgraded bypass road is expected to significantly improve traffic flow, road safety, and regional connectivity in and around Begusarai.
