Power Mech Projects Limited has announced that it has received orders from the Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited BSPGCL for setting up grid-connected distributed solar power plants across multiple locations in Bihar. The projects, aimed at solarizing agricultural and mixed feeders under the PM-KUSUM Component C2 Scheme (Feeder Level Solarization), will be implemented through the RESCO mode.

The company will develop solar power plants with a cumulative capacity of 13.66 MW (AC) at power substations located in Rajoun, Sakahara, and Sambhuganj. These projects are expected to generate a total estimated revenue of around ₹159 crore over a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) period with Bihar’s distribution companies, NBPDCL and SBPDCL.

The contract includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of the solar power plants, along with associated transmission infrastructure. The total value of the orders is approximately ₹48.29 crore for Rajoun, ₹49.02 crore for Sakahara, and ₹61.78 crore for Sambhuganj.

The projects are expected to be executed within 12 months. Each plant will receive subsidies of ₹1.05 crore per MW from the central government and ₹0.45 crore per MW from the Bihar government.

These projects are expected to strengthen Bihar’s renewable energy capacity and support the state’s efforts to promote clean energy for agricultural use.
