The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to LEA Associates South Asia Pvt. Ltd. for consultancy services to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of a spur from the Amas–Darbhanga Corridor (NH-119D) to Bodhgaya, Rajgir, Vaishali and Darbhanga in Bihar.
The consultancy contract has been awarded at a fixed cost of Rs. 4.55 crore. The contract price includes all taxes except Goods and Services Tax (GST), which will be reimbursed separately by NHAI upon submission of proof of deposit.
As per the LoA, the team of experts engaged for the project includes specialists in highway design, bridge design, environmental studies, land acquisition, utility planning, traffic and road safety, survey engineering, and documentation.
NHAI has instructed the consultancy firm to furnish an unconditional bank guarantee equivalent to 10 percent of the contract value, amounting to Rs. 45.55 lakh, as performance security within 15 days of the issuance of the LoA. After submission of the performance guarantee, the consultancy will sign the contract agreement with NHAI, following which services will commence as per the contract provisions.
The LoA, dated August 25, 2025, was signed by Bhaskar Mishra, General Manager (Technical), NHAI.
