The North Eastern Railway (NER) has floated an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) tender for civil engineering, electrification, and signalling works on the Paniahwa–Madhubani section of the new single broad gauge railway line project connecting Paniahwa, Chhitauni, and Tamkuhi Road.
The tender covers works from Paniahwa (excluding, chainage 0+350) to Madhubani (including, chainage 29+400), spanning a total length of 29.050 km. The estimated project cost is ₹477.60 crore, and the completion period is set at 24 months.

The last date for submission of bids is October 31, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Once completed, the new line is expected to enhance rail connectivity and improve transportation infrastructure in the region.
