The Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd (BSTDCL) has moved a step closer to developing the sacred Rishi Kund site in Munger district, with the technical evaluation committee reviewing bids received. The meeting was held on June 16, 2025, under the chairmanship of the Chief Engineer, BSTDCL.
The project titled “Development of Rishi Kund in Munger District” has an administrative approval of ₹21.10 crore and technical sanction of ₹20.90 crore. The work is estimated to cost ₹19.30 crore and is targeted for completion in 18 months.
Two firms submitted bids in response to the e-tender issued on May 21, 2025:
- M/s Sindhuja Engineers and Contractors, Mow, Tekari, Gaya
- M/s Nalandalal Construction, Nalanda CP Ceramic Pvt. Ltd., Near NMC Campus, Patna-20
Both bidders’ documents were examined by the technical bid evaluation committee, which found their submissions to be technically responsive. The committee emphasized that experience certificates will be further verified, and any forged documentation will lead to disqualification under the Bihar Contractor Registration Rules, 2007.
Based on the evaluation, the committee unanimously recommended that the financial bids of both responsive bidders be opened.
Rishi Kund holds religious significance in Munger, and the upcoming development project is part of Bihar’s continued focus on strengthening its spiritual and cultural tourism destinations.
