The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has taken the decision to cancel the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-3) scheduled for March 15. Both shifts of the examination have been annulled due to alarming revelations. Approximately 300 candidates have been apprehended for engaging in unauthorized paper solving activities in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, leading to their subsequent incarceration.

Investigation and Action Taken

The Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) is diligently probing this matter. BPSC’s decision to cancel the examination aligns with the findings presented by the EOU.

Paper Leak Scandal Unveiled

In a significant collaborative effort involving the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU), Bihar Police, and Jharkhand Police, a large-scale paper solver gang network has been dismantled. Approximately 300 candidates, along with the organized gangs associated with the Solver Gang Network, have been apprehended. These individuals were slated to appear for the Bihar Teacher Appointment Examination (TRE)-3, orchestrated by BPSC. Following their arrest, they were presented before the Patna Civil Court and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.

Official Notice and Legal Action

BPSC has issued a formal notice acknowledging the cancellation of the third phase (TRE-3.0) examination conducted on March 15, 2024, in response to the damning report from the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU). The investigation revealed that the question paper had fallen into the hands of the organized gang prior to the examination, prompting the filing of an FIR by the EOU on March 16 under relevant sections.

Anticipated Movement against BPSC Paper Leak Scandal

A scheduled movement concerning the paper leak was anticipated. Student organizations had voiced their intent to protest near the BPSC office on March 21. While the cancellation of the recruitment examination has been secured under the pressure from candidates and students, the fight for justice continues. Student leader Dilip Kumar emphasized the ongoing struggle, asserting that until all perpetrators involved in the paper leak, be it the solver gang or coaching mafia, are brought to justice, the battle will persist.
