The Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (BUIDCo) floated a tender on April 21, 2025, for the River Front Development of Umanath Ghat under Barh Nagar Parishad. The last date for bid submission was May 15, 2025. The estimated cost of the project was ₹51.03 crore.
Following the bidding process, the contract was awarded to AA PATNA JV for a final amount of ₹46.08 crore. This bid is approximately ₹4.95 crore lower than the estimated cost, resulting in a cost saving of about 9.7 percent.
The project is aimed at developing the Umanath Ghat area with enhanced public infrastructure, improved access, and beautification to promote tourism and benefit the residents of Barh.
