The Bihar State Road Development Corporation Ltd. (BSRDCL) has moved a step closer in the selection of a contractor for the much-anticipated elevated corridor project in Darbhanga district, aimed at improving connectivity between Darbhanga Railway Station and the Amas-Darbhanga Expressway. The civil works contract, covering a stretch of 13.175 km, is proposed to be executed in Two/Four-lane configuration under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode.
The project route includes major intersections at Donar Chowk, Karpuri Chowk, Laheriasarai Chowk, Lohiya Chowk, and Ekmi Chowk, which are critical urban nodes in Darbhanga. Once completed, the corridor is expected to significantly decongest city traffic and enhance regional connectivity.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) was invited through the Eproc2 online portal under Tender ID No. 103891, and five firms submitted their bids. The technical bids were opened as scheduled, and after due evaluation, **four firms were found to be technically qualified, while one was disqualified for non-compliance.
