The construction of a Digital Museum-cum-Conference Hall at the Bihar Vidhan Sabha in Patna has officially entered the execution stage, following the awarding of the tender to contractor Arvind Kumar. The final contract stands at ₹47.20 crore, which is slightly lower than the administratively approved cost.
Approval and Timeline
The Building Construction Department granted administrative approval for the project on July 8, 2022, with a sanctioned cost of ₹48.76 crore for the financial year 2022–23. The estimated project cost was ₹48.52 crore, and the stipulated completion timeline is 18 months from the date of commencement.

Bidding and Awarding Process
The last date for bid submission was April 16, 2025. After technical and financial evaluations, the purchase order was issued on June 24, 2025.
A Tribute to Legislative Heritage
This upcoming digital museum, housed within the historic Vidhan Sabha premises, will showcase Bihar’s legislative journey and aims to become a key center for knowledge, preservation, and public engagement. The addition of a conference hall will also support legislative and academic dialogues.
