Kaimur to Get New Sports Complex-cum-Gymnasium

The Bihar State Building Construction Corporation Limited (BSBCCL) has awarded the construction contract for a new sports complex-cum-gymnasium in Kaimur district under the Chief Minister Sports Development Scheme. This move is expected to boost sports infrastructure in Kaimur and provide modern gym facilities to local youth.

Project Overview of Sports Complex in Kaimur

The project will come up at Anchal-Bhabhua, Mouza-Bilaro, Thana No. 442, Khata No. 192, Khesra No. 129. The Department of Sports approved the project with an administrative sanction of ₹10.94 crore, and technical approval for ₹10.39 crore was issued on April 2, 2025. The total estimated cost, as per the bill of quantities (BOQ), was ₹9.71 crore.

The tender process was conducted via e-tendering and publicly advertised in leading dailies, Dainik Jagran and Prabhat Khabar, on March 20, 2025. It attracted responses from multiple contractors between April 3 and April 25. Technical bids were opened on April 26.

Technically Qualified Bidders

Five construction firms submitted bids for the project:

  1. Amit Kumar Singh (Rohtas)
  2. Maa Bhagwati Enterprises (Suruchi Kumari, Patna)
  3. P.R. Enterprises (Sant Ravidas Nagar, UP)
  4. M/S Kaushlendra Kumar (Jehanabad)
  5. Maa Vaishnavi Infrazone (Sarita Kumari, Nawada)

Following a technical evaluation on May 7, three firms—Maa Bhagwati Enterprises, Maa Vaishnavi Infrazone, and M/S Kaushlendra Kumar—were declared responsive. The other two were disqualified. No objections were received during the public objection period that ended on May 15, clearing the way for financial bid evaluation.

Financial Bid Summary

The financial bids submitted by the three qualified firms were:

  • Maa Bhagwati Enterprises: ₹8.10 crore (16.55% below BOQ)
  • Maa Vaishnavi Infrazone: ₹8.18 crore (15.73% below BOQ)
  • M/S Kaushlendra Kumar: ₹9.44 crore (2.75% below BOQ)

Contract Awarded

In its final meeting, the BSBCCL tender committee unanimously approved the lowest bid by Maa Bhagwati Enterprises (Proprietor: Suruchi Kumari) for ₹8.10 crore. The firm will now be responsible for the timely execution of the sports infrastructure project in Kaimur.
