Sports Department has approved a project worth ₹24.21 crore for the construction of 25-meter and 50-meter shooting ranges in Nalanda district. The facility will be developed on vacant land located behind the existing Indoor Shooting Range at Kalyan, Vigaha.

The funds for the project will be utilized in the financial year 2025–26 under the plan head of the Building Construction Department, within the budget allocation for stadiums and sports infrastructure. The administrative approval has been granted based on the technically sanctioned estimate.

The Secretary of the Building Construction Department will serve as the controlling officer, responsible for issuing fund allocations. The move is part of the state government’s push to strengthen sports infrastructure and encourage excellence in shooting sports.
